Are you ready to help us make the future? You will be the key HSE resource at a site directing sustainable health and safety programs through incorporation of impactful operating processes and keeping in front of leading practices in health and safety standards.
- Integrate, monitor, and support Environmental, Health and Safety programs to ensure compliance with the applicable guidelines, procedures, and regulations.
- Incorporate continuous improvement using Honeywell's Health and Safety initiatives through Honeywell's Operating System activities.
- Provide proactive integration of HSE initiatives across the site, keeping in front of leading edge HSE awareness.

This is a 100% on-site work position Key Responsibilities - Maintains compliance with site air emission permits, underground storage tank regulations, Spill Prevention, Control & Countermeasure (SPCC), stormwater, and EPCRA Hazardous Material Reporting.
- Serves as liaison with regulatory agencies.
- Oversees the activities of third party consultants
- Acts as the professional resource for site safety including but not limited to electrical safety, chemical safety, personal protective equipment, machine guarding and respirator safety.
- Provides timely and accurate submission of necessary reports to Corporate, Federal, State, and Local agencies
- Keeps informed of existing and proposed HSE regulations and interprets regulations for business partners
- Implements programs to monitor and ensure compliance with governmental regulations and the HSE requirements of the Corporation.
- Conducts audits and identifies actions necessary to prevent injuries and control significant exposures
- Leads efforts to improve safety and environmental performance using the company HSE Management System and company tools including the event tracking system, safety observation system, and HSE self-assessment tool.
- Partners with business leaders to continuously improve the culture, awareness and accountability in support of site HSE targets and initiatives
- Coordinates site specific HSE training for employees
- Oversees the program for subcontractor safety management
- Serves as the lead for all data collection and review for Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), parametric monitoring, and equipment fuel usage.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
YOU MUST HAVE - Minimum of five (5) years experience in environmental management, permitting, reporting and managing HSE programs.
- Three (3) years of experience in air quality regulations and reporting with experience maintaining Title V permit compliance.
- Three (3) years experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook in a business environment
WE VALUE - Bachelors degree in environmental sciences, engineering, safety, chemistry or an applied science field, or demonstrated equivalent
- Three (3) years experience in safety management
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Must be highly motivated and energetic with good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, work independently, motivate, and influence others at all levels of the organization
- Close attention to detail
- OSHA30 and/or OSHA10 preferred
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines at once
- Experience with managing contractors a plus
- Experience with Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) and Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) a plus.
