Description: Baylor University seeks to fill two Full-Time Lecturer positions within the
Department of Communication . These appointments are renewable full-time, benefits-eligible, teaching-focused positions with a 6-year promotion path to Senior Lecturer for successful candidates and a 12-year renewable promotion path to Teaching Professor for highly successful candidates.

Qualifications: A minimum of a completed M.A. in Communication is required, and a PhD in Communication is preferred for these positions.
Successful candidates should have a record of excellence in college instruction or demonstrate the potential for outstanding teaching.
The department seeks candidates who can successfully teach and mentor a diverse group of undergraduate students.
Successful candidates will have the capacity to teach a variety of courses. The desired candidates will teach our foundational course in public speaking. The desired candidates will have the opportunity to teach upper-level courses that may include introduction to rhetorical theory and criticism, small group communication, communication theory, interpersonal communication, nonverbal communication, persuasion, intercultural communication, advanced public speaking, conflict and communication, organizational communication, and possibly courses in their areas of specialty.
