Amazon Health is looking for a talented, word-wise Senior UX Writer with 6-8 years experience to join our highly collaborative and growing User Experience (UX) team. This role will influence and be involved with every aspect of the product development lifecycle, from discovery and refinement to a catching a typo right before a launch.

Key job responsibilities
– You have a passion for creating great customer experiences and adopting a human-centered approach to content, design, and product development.
– You care deeply about your craft and truly own “the words.” You produce product content that is clear, helpful, human, scalable, inclusive. You’re attuned to the nuances and interpretations of language.
– You’re also about more than “the words.” You help shape product strategy and vision, thinking long-term and strategically while still achieving quick wins and short-term objectives.
– You’re an expert at knowing what to say and when to say it — as well as knowing what not to say and leave out — always making sure that customers have the right information at the right time.
– You develop content frameworks, voice and tone guidelines, product narratives, and other deliverables that explain your recommendations and help people understand the practice of UX writing and content strategy.
– You work with cross-functional partners (designers, researchers, product managers, legal, brand, PR, customer care, operations) to drive consensus across teams and advocate for solutions that balance customer needs and business goals.
– You’re comfortable with navigating ambiguity and driving toward clarity and solutions.
– You ask a lot of questions and sweat the details, whether it’s nailing down requirements, obsessing over text alignment, or inserting serial commas (yes, we use them). You’re all about consistency too, but also know when clarity supersedes consistency.
– You champion content-first approaches and opportunities. You’re proactive about finding ways in which language can make a measurable customer impact.
– You’re able to shape and bring humanity to customer and patient AI-based conversational experiences.
A day in the life
You'll work with key partners and teams across a multitude of Amazon healthcare offerings including Amazon One Medical, Amazon Pharmacy, and more, serving bar-raising content for customers, members, patients, and care teams. You'll identify and drive strategic ways to amplify quality content through working with teams to adopt and leverage scalable content systems and resources, in addition to contributing hands-on UX Writing for key initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6-8 years experience as a UX writer or similar role with a UX or product design team
- Demonstrated experience and an emphasis in the creation and team-wide adoption of scalable content systems and resources that effectively empower non-writers to deliver high quality content
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- A portfolio of relevant work samples with a UX focus, including examples of problems you helped solve, your contributions, and the customer impact
- Ability to break down complex topics into concise customer-friendly content
- Experience working directly with designers, product managers, researchers, PR, and other subject matter experts
- Experience working cross-team and synthesizing feedback and input from multiple stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and focus on quality
- Experience in crafting human-centered, intelligent conversation flows for consumer-facing AI powered experiences (e.g. large language models).
- Bachelor’s degree of equivalent experience in English, Journalism, Marketing/Communications, or related field
