CBRE Hotels Debt & Structured Finance Intern

CBRE Hotels Debt & Structured Finance provides leading debt and equity advisory for the world's largest hotel owners, investors and developers. By using a vast network of relationships across the industry's premier global lenders, including banks, debt funds, life insurance companies and conduit/CMBS entities, our group commands the attention of the greatest amount of potential capital providers. Supported by extensive Wall Street, real estate and legal experience, for over 5 years the CBRE Hotels Debt & Structured Finance team has lead the nation in terms of annual production. This industry leading team has completed over $30 billion of hospitality & financing transactions across the U.S. since 2017.

About The Role:

This internship is designed for recent graduates seeking a career in commercial real estate, more specifically debt capital markets. Participation is intended to provide a well-rounded knowledge of CBRE's Capital Market's business and valuable skills, earned by working alongside dedicated professionals on the top hospitality advisory team in the country. The internship accelerates your learning and development by providing you with a strong foundation upon which to build your commercial real estate career.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct company, property and industry-specific research
  • Track local and regional activity, e.g., economy, employment statistics, major company activity, industry trends and demographics that affect the real estate market.
  • Provide support with current deals, including market analysis, proposal reviews and summaries, and financial analysis.
  • Financial Modeling and Underwriting Support
  • Assist in developing and preparing marketing and presentation materials.
  • Assist in deal tracking across an active pipeline of over 40 transactions totaling $5 billion in volume.

  • This internship is designed for candidates with a strong academic background, preferably in business or real estate. Applicants should be self-motivated, creative and focused, seeking to excel in the commercial real estate industry.

New York Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training and experience. The minimum salary for the Intern position is $18.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the Intern position is $25.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
