Power Cross Ministry is seeking baseball coaches to disciple and develop young men ages 7-14 in football and life this Spring and Summer.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Support and Assist your Head Coach & Football Director in all of the following areas:

• Ensure that all assistant coaching positions are filled with competent and properly trained coaches.
• Organize coaches’ meetings at the beginning of each season to review expectations, guidelines, and rules of play.
• Coordinating with the Director about the scheduling of games and practices.
• Collaborating with conferences and leagues, establish an entire season schedule.
• Speak with league officials about regular and postseason play
• Determining the time allocated for a field, court, or weight room.
• Preparing budgetary requests for all Football travel, equipment purchases, and facility upkeep, etc.
• Coordinating with the Director for officials and umpires at games or scrimmages we are hosting.
• Establish Team and Player Goals prior to the season, hold postseason evaluations to track success.
• Mediate any disputes between athletes and coaches or between coaches and parents.
• Manage and supervise developmentally appropriate athletic team rosters in line with the PC’s overall spiritual, athletic and educational mission and goals and are accessible to all students.
• Represent Power Cross in all league and athletic associations, including and attend all meetings.
• Create and Provide Team Practice Agendas weekly, present to coaches and make sure the agenda action plan is completed.
• Oversee the distribution, collection, storage, upkeep, and replacement of all football uniforms and equipment.
• Ensure that athletic fields and facilities are prepared for hosting practices and athletic contests.
• Communicate with both students and parents regarding appropriate expectations for each level of competition.
• Maintain accurate records of team and individual athletic statistics and accomplishments.
• Submit requests and distribute athletic apparel for coaches.
• Work with the Director of Discipleship to complete weekly Huddles with your team.
• Attend weekly Bible Study with your team.
• Work in conjunction with the Academic Director, Speed & Strength Director, and the Chef to provide quality programming outside of baseball for your team.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• High level experience in baseball as a player or coach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Proficient with Google Suites or related software.
• Must have valid drivers license and insurance. We drug test.

Coaches will be hired to serve both the Statesville & Salisbury, NC Power Cross Campuses.
