INDUSTRY:  Oilfield Services, Water Management

LOCATION:  Midland, TX

CONTEXT:  Our client, an oilfield services company, is seeking a motivated and experienced Water Transfer Operations Manager  to oversee and manage water transfer operations for West Texas. The Operations Manager  will be responsible for leading and mentoring field personnel, maintaining and allocating company equipment, and managing the overall successful completion of daily field activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that all field activities are performed in compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and to the satisfaction of the client.
  
• Evaluate crew members and assign job tasks according to skill and level of competency for safe and effective service delivery.
  
• Develop crew by conducting performance appraisals, assisting in goal setting and providing proper training of crew members.
  
• Perform necessary calculations to ensure equipment selected is proper for fluid rates and hydrostatic pressures.
  
• Lead by example to drive a culture of safety, service quality excellence, and environmental awareness.
  
• Conduct evaluations of the safety effectiveness of crew by reporting near-misses and analysis of accident trends.
  
• Oversee the setup, completion, and rig down of water transfer equipment including conveyance piping, pumps, fitting, containment, road crossings, etc.
  
• Make daily decisions regarding employee issues and water transfer job performance.
  
• Oversee the care and maintenance of all water transfer equipment.
  
• Ensure all pre-job equipment inspections are performed and documented in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience supervising water transfer field operations and crew.
  
• Strong communication skills with the ability to speak and write appropriately to clients, crew, contractors, and management.
  
• Knowledge of general business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  
• Knowledge of general principles and processes for providing customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  
• Knowledge of relevant water transfer equipment, policies, procedures, and general field operations.
