ENCHANTED FOREST WATER SAFARI 

Scope:

 Water Ride Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the water rides and slides at Enchanted Forest Water Safari. The primary responsibility is to assist guests of all ages in safely riding each ride. Water Ride Operator positions involve working outdoors in all weather conditions. Water Ride Operators have a high level of guest interaction. Water Ride Operators must be impressed with the serious nature of the job and must be extremely focused and be able to pay attention to detail.

Essential Duties:

 YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE A WATER SAFETY TRAINING PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT 

• Follow strict guidelines with regard to safety and emergency procedures
• Maintain the cleanliness of the rides and surrounding work areas
• Know and enforce all safety policies, rules and regulations for each ride
• Assist guests on and off of rides and slides, which requires standing in the water for long periods of time
• Observe guests, watch for signals of distress and assist guests as needed
• Safely dispatch guests at timely intervals specific to each ride/slide
• Work well independently and as a part of a team
• Understand and clearly communicate safety rules and procedures in English
• Successfully complete the SWAFR (Shallow Water Attendant/First Responder) training program and follow all learned policies and procedures
• Stand and attentively watch each ride/slide, constantly checking for safety issues
• Perform work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures
• Greet guests and team members in a professional and friendly manner
