We have an exciting opportunity for a Technology Drafter to join our team in our Albuquerque office. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates eager to start their career in design and drafting within the Technology / Low-Voltage discipline.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience drafting in AutoCAD and REVIT. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks depending on their qualifications and gain hands-on experience working on various projects including, K-12 Schools, Higher Education, Municipal projects, and Health Care projects, among other projects that directly impact our communities in a positive way, utilizing the latest design software
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of design layouts, sections, details, and profiles using AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam.
- Support multi-disciplinary design teams in the development of coordinated systems drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers and senior designers on projects.
- Maintain and organize CAD drawings and project files.
- Ability to work with in MS Word and Excel to assist in creating design documents and create schedules for cabling and other Low-Voltage Systems under the supervision of a senior designer.
- Develop and design within a BIM design environment.
- Collaborate with the internal and external project team to execute the project from concept to completion.
- Ensure established deadlines are met
- Transpose redlines from a senior designer and implement on to drawings.
Qualifications:
- AA in Architectural Drafting & Design (in-progress to achieve an AA. Preferred but not required).
- 0 to 3 years of experience with AutoCAD & Revit
- 0 to 3 years of experience with Bluebeam
- Proficient in MS Office Products, Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Proficient with current releases (2020-2024) of drafting software.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to a project’s unique and specific requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Local candidates preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Coursework or internship experience in design and drafting.
- Exposure to Telecommunications, Security, and Audio-Visual systems.
- Knowledge of commercial construction processes.
- Member of BICSI
