Job Description

OneRail is seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Vice President/Controller, the ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements, extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, proficiency with NetSuite, a good understanding of US GAAP, and be a CPA or CPA candidate. Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile various accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Analyze and report on monthly balance sheet and P&L activity.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to perform financial analysis and reporting.
• Maintain and update records in NetSuite.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

 

Qualifications

Candidates must posses the following skills and qualifications to be considered a candidate for the Staff Accounting role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on account reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
• Proficiency with NetSuite is required.
• A solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability and willingness to work primarily onsite at OneRail HQ in Orlando, FL (ZIP 32819)
• CPA certification or current CPA candidate is strongly preferred. Candidates currently in possession of a CPA certification or who are current CPA candidates will be given priority in the selection process.
