Job Description
This position has overall project responsibility from Authorization to proceed to the end of the System Warranty Period. This involves ensuring all terms and conditions of the contract are met to the Customer's satisfaction and interfacing with other departments. This position is the official Company representative for the project and all major decisions are either made or approved by the project manager.
What will you do? - Manage relationships with customers, subcontracts and suppliers.
- Understand and manage customer satisfaction.
- Establish and meet project schedules.
- Build, coordinate and support the project team.
- Monitor and control all financial aspects of the project.
- Prepare and present progress and results reports per contract requirements.
- Plan and coordinate work and resources required to complete the work per contract requirements.
- Manage scope, changes and claims as per contract requirements.
- Understand, communicate and meet customer requirements.
- Conform project work and documents to internal procedures and policy (including ISO and CMMI).
- Ensure all relevant project communication is documented and tracked.
- Grow the margin from the booked value.
- Minimize rework on the project.
- Required to travel 10% of the time, both domestically and international.
- Manage high profile customers and complex multi-year, multi-discipline projects.
- Act as a Program Manager for customers with multiple active projects as assigned.
- Participate in Executive Steering Committee meetings conducted with clients as required.
- Mentor and coach other Project Managers and Project Leaders in all aspects of Project Management and Project Execution life-cycle.
- Participate and support the Sales organization for sales pursuits and future contracts.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role? - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Project structure definition knowledge (budget, schedule, resourcing).
- Project risk analysis.
- Project planning, coordination, communication and reporting.
- Client and team requirements analysis.
- Client and team relationship management.
- Leadership and coaching in Project Management discipline
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline, with 6+ years relevant experience as project manager for software/systems projects, preferably in the process industry.
- PMP Certification a plus
