Job Description
Position Summary:
Employees in this position are responsible for performing material handling, receiving, shipping and warehousing operations to support manufacturing scheduling requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Material Handling
- Removing finished goods from work centers and providing empty pallets upon request.
- Shrink wrapping pallets of finished goods, labeling them for identification purposes, and placing them in designated staging areas as needed.
- Using RF scanners to perform sub inventory transfers of finished goods.
- Removing cardboard from recycling receptacles and discarding it properly into the cardboard compactor.
- Supporting the identification and implementation of cost-savings efforts for the material handling process.
- Completing Operator’s Checklists daily, submitting the weekly totals to the Materials and Warehouse Manager at the end of the week.
Receiving
- Unloading carrier trucks once the Truck/Dock Safety Procedure has been initiated.
- Verifying accuracy of delivered items and quantities against the suppliers’ packing lists prior to receiving them into Oracle.
- Applying receiving labels to products prior to internal distribution.
- Using RF scanners to perform sub inventory transfers of items from receiving to their designated staging locations.
- Communicating shortages, quality issues, and other pertinent information to impacted departments when discovered (email, white board, etc.).
- Correcting inventory discrepancies as they are discovered.
- Supporting the identification and implementation of cost-savings efforts for the receiving process.
- Completing Operator’s Checklists daily, submitting the weekly totals to the Materials and Warehouse Manager at the end of the week.
Shipping
- Printing pick lists for customer sales orders as needed.
- Prioritizing pick lists in order of International/Truck/Parcel/Outside Process shipments.
- Using RF scanners to perform sales order pick transactions.
- Labeling and identifying items correctly prior to packing (cartons/envelopes/pallets).
- Using Oracle and Ship Exec to ship confirm sales orders.
- Documenting any shortages or backorders on the sales order pick lists.
- Ensuring all necessary shipping documentation (shipping labels, packing lists, bills of lading, commercial invoices, etc.) are accurate and accompany all outbound shipments.
- Scheduling carrier pick-up for completed customer sales orders ready for pickup.

- Organizing materials throughout the warehouse to maximize efficiency while maintaining an ergonomically safe workplace.
- Pulling parts’ requests for VLM replenishment and communicating important information back to the requestor as needed.
- Communicating shortages, quality issues, and other pertinent information to impacted departments when discovered (email, white board, etc.).
- Correcting inventory discrepancies as they are discovered.
- Supporting the identification and implementation of cost-savings efforts for the material handling process.
- Completing Operator’s Checklists daily, submitting the weekly totals to the Materials and Warehouse Manager at the end of the week.

- Must be able to work overtime, when required.
Education/Experience:
- At least 3 years certified forklift operator experience preferred.
- Must be willing to be trained in material handling, receiving, shipping and warehousing operations.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and have legal status to work in the United States.
- Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have an active driver’s license in good standing.
- Must be able to obtain forklift certification and maintain it while in the role (renewing periodically).
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for the entire shift, with exceptions to break and lunch period.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. intermittently throughout the shift.
- Bending and reaching, using arms/legs to keep loads within the power zone as often as possible.
- Grasping and manipulation, using both hands to grip and lift items.
