Job Title: Senior Tableau Developer
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
- Work with business stakeholders to define data visualization needs and translate them into actionable Tableau solutions.
- Create complex calculated fields, parameters, filters, and dynamic dashboards for business intelligence and reporting purposes.
- Implement Tableau best practices for dashboard performance, user experience, and data security.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data into Tableau.
- Develop custom SQL queries and work with data sources (e.g., relational databases, cloud data platforms) to create Tableau-compatible datasets.
- Integrate Tableau with other data systems, tools, and APIs to ensure seamless reporting and data flow.
- Leverage Tableau's analytical capabilities to provide insights into key business metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
- Work with business analysts to understand business requirements and deliver actionable insights through data visualizations.
- Implement complex data aggregations, calculations, and KPIs for better decision-making support.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Tableau dashboards to ensure fast load times and smooth user interactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data visualization, connectivity, or performance.
- Continuously improve and enhance existing Tableau reports and dashboards based on user feedback and business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
- Lead and mentor junior Tableau developers and analysts, providing guidance on best practices and development techniques.
- Share knowledge and promote Tableau and data visualization adoption across the organization.
- Document Tableau development processes, data sources, and dashboard specifications.
- Create user guides and training materials to help business users understand and utilize Tableau reports effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience in Tableau development, data visualization, and business intelligence.
- Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
- Expertise in creating complex dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
- Proficient in SQL, including writing custom queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with data blending, aggregations, and building advanced Tableau visualizations (e.g., heat maps, scatter plots, calculated fields).
- Solid understanding of database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) and cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Experience working with large datasets and optimizing Tableau performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Tableau certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Professional).
- Experience with other BI tools (Power BI, QlikView, etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience in healthcare, finance, or other industries with complex data environments.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
