Job Description

Salary: 131,000 - 185,000 USD per year Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
• Ten (10) years of professional experience in engineering, computer science, or remote sensing
• Five (5) years of experience specifically in systems engineering
• Two (2) years of experience specifically with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Preferred qualifications may include:
• Domain experience with remote sensor systems or software architecture, particularly with Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor processing
• Experience supporting systems engineering programs in the defense and aerospace fields
• Additional professional experience in systems engineering beyond five years
• Familiarity with the Cameo/MagicDraw family of tools
• Experience with Agile software development methods
• Demonstrated experience in program management and project leadership (familiarity with the Earned Value Management System is a plus)
• Graduate degrees or coursework in Systems Engineering or related fields
• An active SECRET DoD security clearance or higher

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement systems engineering processes aligned with IEEE 15288
• Mentor other SciTec staff in systems engineering processes and methodologies
• Coordinate between customer representatives, program managers, software developers, and other members of the systems engineering team
• Design and model systems architectures for remote sensor data processing systems; develop design artifacts using Model-Based Systems Engineering
• Manage systems engineering staff and contractors in coordination with the SciTec program management team
• Perform other duties as assigned
