Job Description



AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Senior Broadband Infrastructure Consultant to join our team. This role is integral to the planning, design, and implementation of cutting-edge broadband and bandwidth infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in consulting, engineering oversight, and project management within the telecommunications industry. This position is open to a remote working situation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting and Design:
    • Provide expert consulting services for broadband infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and client requirements
    • Lead the design and development of broadband and fiber optic network architectures, focusing on scalability and performance
    • Conduct feasibility studies and develop technical proposals for new projects
  • Engineering Oversight:
    • Oversee engineering teams in the execution of broadband infrastructure projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with project specifications
    • Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and specifications
    • Ensure that projects adhere to best practices and safety regulations
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple broadband infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery
    • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including construction managers, financial analysts, and client representatives
  • Client Interaction:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or changes in project scope
    • Conduct stakeholder meetings and presentations to communicate project progress and outcomes
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business
  • Financial and Budget Management:
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, financial reporting, and variance analysis
    • Monitor project expenditures and implement cost-control measures as necessary
    • Provide financial insights and analysis to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
    • Lead project teams, providing direction, support, and performance feedback
    • Promote teamwork and collaboration across all project stakeholders

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements :

  • BA/BS in Management Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field plus six (6) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • MBA or advanced degree is preferred
  • PMP Certification
  • Eight (8) years of professional experience in project/program management, financial cost control, and broadband infrastructure projects
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale capital projects and leading cross-functional teams
