There is never a dull moment on this strategic effort, a cornerstone for the nation’s security! The Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will completely replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, an undertaking not performed in over 50 years. This program is considered a “mega-project” and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Force's Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides advisory and assistance services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor.

The Role BAE is looking for an experienced Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer accountable to the Sentinel Support Equipment Branch Program Manager for all tasks assigned. You will be part of a tight-knit team charged with supporting the development and acquisition of Sentinel Support Equipment to include Major Maintenance Vehicles used to support ICBM Maintainer and Operator missions. Specifically, you will directly support the Sentinel Support Equipment Branch Program Manager in acquiring and integrating the support equipment needed for the next generation ICBM. You will assist the government customer in the review and assessment of the Sentinel Prime Contractor’s design, documentation, architectures, and MBSE products to meet acquisition requirements and timelines. Duties include providing advice to Sentinel leaders on all aspects of Sentinel Support Equipment, and supporting ICBM Missile Operators, Maintainers, and Security Forces, throughout the acquisition cycle. You will support the team using Earned Value Management, Agile, and MBSE best practices.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor or Master of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
- 7 years (with BS) or 5 years (with MS) directly related experience
- At least 3 years progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership
- Active U.S. Government Secret clearance with a background investigation completed < 6 years prior to hiring
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - ICBM maintenance, training systems, or operations experience
- ICBM Acquisitions experience
- Professional Engineering License
- Systems Engineering experience and/or Certification
- Project Management Professional Certification
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Agile, Earned Value Management, Control Account Management
- USAF Nuclear topic education
- Engineering/Agile tools: Cameo, MATLAB, DOORS, JIRA, Confluence
- Classified government IT systems
- Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $91980 - $156330

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
