Job Summary:
We're seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to contribute to our organization's growth through new business development in construction and services sales.
Essential Job Duties:
- Generate and pursue sales leads for fire alarm, detection, low voltage, clean agents, and security installations
- Conduct both outside and inside sales activities
- Target all building types: new construction, renovations, additions, and retrofits
- Lead the entire sales process from initial contact to contract acquisition
- Build and nurture customer relationships to drive continued sales
- Create proposals, follow up on active leads, and close sales
- Communicate proposal status to management
- Attend internal and external meetings as required
- Represent our company professionally, embodying our values of quality and relationship-focused service
- Support Project Managers and Design Department with schedules and product information
- Assist Accounting team with job setup and profitability monitoring
- Use accounting software to track costs and manage billing
- Contribute to marketing activities and company promotion
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Business preferred
- 2+ years of experience in business development or Fire Life Safety sales preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer operations
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Estimating experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to comply with drug, alcohol, and background screening policies
- Sprinkler License and NICET certification a plus
Physical Requirements:
The role involves sitting and standing for extended periods, occasional driving, bending, and lifting up to 20 lbs. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based or remote, with frequent travel. Occasional use of personal protective equipment may be required.
