Job Description: Sales and Digital Marketing Specialist

Position: Full Time, 5 days per week, occasional weekends required (for sales coverage)

Location: The Fitness Superstore, 4840 Pan American Frwy, Albuquerque, NM 87109

Reporting: Director of Marketing

Overview: The Fitness Superstore is the leading regional supplier of high-end fitness equipment to residential homes and the commercial fitness industry. We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and driven tech savvy Social Media expert that is willing to learn the fitness equipment industry while working both as a Marketer and Sales Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess a passion or understanding for fitness, have exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving social media growth with strategies and ideas.

Job Description/Job Purpose

To drive residential sales of high-end fitness equipment offered by The Fitness Superstore and increase brand awareness through Marketing and retail sales coverage. Manage customer engagement and foster positive relationships that create lifelong, repeat customers through posts on social media and in-person engagement. Assist with marketing initiatives including in-person events, print, social media, and other digital marketing programs.

Outcomes from this position

1. Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets through effective sales strategies and proven marketing strategies designed to bring customer awareness to our store

2. Increase brand visibility in the Albuquerque metro area

3. Educate customers on current fitness equipment options using Social Media

4. Convey the value delivered to customers from premium home fitness equipment using different Marketing and Sales methods

5. Improve and maintain showroom organization and design

Accountabilities

· Foster customer relationships and drive repeat buyer habits

· Create and design marketing media to be used for paid advertising

· Consistent updates of social media data

· Understanding of current and past fitness trends and associated equipment

· Convey value derived from premium product offerings

· Learn and maintain intimate knowledge of all product offerings

· Create and schedule social media posts

· Help develop and execute marketing programs and strategies

· Research current and forthcoming fitness trends and train staff thereon

· Maintain customer database when it relates to marketing contacts

· Assist in integration of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software

· Maintain up to date CRM data

· Assist in integration of updated point of sale (POS) systems

· Plan and create long term marketing strategies in advance

· Plan and attend community events

· Clean and organize sales floor and associated areas

· Interact with and direct customers to appropriate products and solutions

· Drive sales growth and maximize dollars for every transaction

· The position primarily involves working in a retail environment, which may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of heavy fitness equipment.

· Any other ad-hoc duties and projects

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional relevant job history, certifications or degrees in Marketing, Social Media,Sales, or SEO are also desirable.

Skills & Experience Requirements

·  Must have at least 1 year of Marketing experience.

·  Direct to consumer retail/sales experience: Previous experience in a sales role, preferably within the fitness industry or retail sector.

·  Clear and effective communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication

·  Value sales training/understanding: Ability to identify, quantify, and convey value associated with premium products.

·  Understand how to use Adobe suites efficiently. Along with Canva.

· Knows how to use all Social Media platforms comfortably, such as but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, Meta Business

· Experience with POS and CRM softwares

· Personable and able to work with a team

· Experience building and maintaining customer relationships

· Experience with various cardio and strength training methods and trends

Schedule

· Full-time position, 40 hours per week.

  • Our store is open: Mon- Fri 9:30 - 6:00, Saturday 9:30 - 5:00, Sunday 12:00 - 5:00 seasonally

Earnings & Benefits

· Compensation package includes a base salary for Marketing work, commission on all sales made, and other performance-related incentives.

· Starting pay is $20/hr with opportunities to earn commission on time spent on retail sales floor.

· Group Health Insurance, paid Holidays, and paid Vacation/Personal Time

· Occasional option to work from home with Marketing needs.
