Hansen Landscape Contractors Inc., a Diamond Certified Residential Landscape Design & Construction company located in Castro Valley, CA, since 1981, is seeking a Rockstar Landscape Designer/ Landscape Architect to join our team. Our ideal candidate will design outdoor residential landscapes in collaboration with the owner, sales team, and client service coordinator(s).

To be a good fit and have the opportunity to thrive in this position, proficiency in the following areas is key:
- Ability and interest in collaborating with clients to understand their needs and project preferences.
-Passion for creating landscape designs using CAD software such as Civil 3D and MicroStation or equivalent.
- Capable of developing detailed plans, including hardscape and plant materials selection, in collaboration with our clients, staff horticulturist, project manager & sales agents.
- Competence in illustrating design ideas using tools like Rhinoceros 3D or equivalent.
- Incorporate sustainable practices into landscape designs for clients who are passionate about being water-wise.
- Located in a region easily accessible to conducting site visits to assess conditions and provide client recommendations in collaboration with our clients, staff horticulturist, project manager & sales agents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
-Talented & proficient Designers without a degree in Landscape Architecture or related fields are also encouraged to apply, as not all Rockstars graduated.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or similar programs.
- Experience with GIS software for site analysis and planning.
- Knowledge of horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction techniques.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and contractors.
- Desire to join us in creating stunning outdoor spaces that harmonize with the environment while meeting the needs of our clients.
Please note:
We are located in California, specifically in the East Bay, and so is our target market/client base. Although we are open to a flexible work schedule, we need our design staff to be able to attend in-person meetings as needed and residential site client visits.
