Position Highlights

The Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering (AME) Department at the University of Arizona is seeking a qualified and highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate for the development of aerospace software.

The AME Department is a leader in hypersonics, with state-of-the-art computational and experimental capabilities. Through a multidisciplinary effort involving wind tunnel testing, computational fluid dynamics, statistics, optimization, and machine learning, AME, in collaboration with Industry, has developed a computational framework for the construction of tractable surrogate aerodynamic databases in the hypersonic regime. The candidate will take the framework to the next level by creating a professional software usable by industry and researchers alike. The candidate will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, and serve as a liaison between the various disciplines.

In partnership with our funding sponsor, Texas A&M University, in cooperation with the prime sponsor the Unites States Department of Defense, and with the University Consortium for Applied Hypersonics (UCAH) membership participation, we are required to limit applications to U.S. citizens. Outstanding UA benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance; paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays; UA/ASU/NAU tuition reduction for the employee and qualified family members; access to UA recreation and cultural activities; and more!

The University of Arizona has been recognized for our innovative work-life programs.
