Job Description

Natural Retreats  is hiring a Property Manager  to join our Mammoth Lakes, CA team!Property Managers oversee  properties and ensure that homes are properly cleaned, staged, maintained, and ready for guest arrival. This position assists the General Manager through taking ownership of their work and ensuring the operation remains within budget and profitable. A successful Property Manager knows how to create value for customers, has outstanding interpersonal skills, considerable organizational ability, and a keen attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with the General Manager to oversee owner and guest services and fulfill owner and guest requests
  • Assist with all aspects of maintenance including but not limited to:
    • Reset WiFi routers and modems
    • Reset and program cable and satellite TV receivers 
    • Perform light plumbing repairs 
    • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service 
    • Participate in snow and ice removal around the managed properties and around the office as needed 
  • Assist with housekeeping as needed to ensure homes are ready for guest arrival
  • Oversee all independent contract inspectors, as well as vendors such as lawn care, hot tub, property care, etc.
  • Provide open, honest, and timely communication to all departments and central teams 
  • Manage any stocks of consumable items such as lightbulbs, batteries, dishes, etc. efficiently and within budget, assigning appropriate charges to owners as required by applicable deadlines  
  • Manage the upkeep, maintenance, and inventory of the property, and in conjunction with owners, replace items where necessary using approved suppliers and equipment
  • Coordinate both recurring and one-time contracted services 
  • Conduct property inspections within a timeline outlined by the General Manager and as outlined in our management agreements
  • Ensure all homeowners receive personalized attention and care and all guests have an AMAZING experience with Natural Retreats
  • Gain and maintain a strong working knowledge of the destination and be able to effectively communicate this to guests and other departments as needed

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

REQUIRED

  • Reliable personal transportation with valid driver's license and automobile insurance (Will be operating company vehicle)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing which may include drug testing and/or background screening
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality, property management, or other related fields
  • Basic knowledge of audio/visual, electrical, plumbing, mechanics, and appliance repair
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer savvy, able to learn new software programs
  • Proactive and flexible in approach to job duties and problem-solving
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly autonomous and self-motivated 


​​​​​​​HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position. Due to the nature of the job, the Property Manager should be flexible with their hours.  While weekends can be covered on request, they are generally working days and will be busy with guest arrivals and departures. The Property Manager is allowed two (2) days off per week but should always be available in case of emergency or due to unpredictable guest arrivals. Generally, this will mean a working day of 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, although on occasion this may vary according to occupancy levels. All Property Managers are required to be on call 1 to 2 nights per week. Exact daily schedules may vary from season to season and differ from in-season to off-season. Vacation is generally taken outside of peak season.
