Key Responsibilities:
As a Remote Prior Authorizations Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in our call center environment, assisting with prior authorization requests. Your daily tasks will include:
Receiving Requests: Handle incoming prior authorization requests via fax and phone from healthcare providers and pharmacists.
Reviewing Criteria: Compare requests against established criteria using our database to facilitate timely approval of medications for patients.
Problem Resolution: If a prior authorization is denied, work collaboratively to resolve the issue by communicating with healthcare providers, pharmacists, or insurance representatives.
Customer Service Excellence: Provide top-notch customer service support to members, customers, and providers, ensuring clear and professional communication.
Documentation: Accurately document all interactions according to legal and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance and quality service.
Clinical Review: Conduct clinical reviews of authorizations while adhering to turnaround times and service level agreements.
Training and Shift Details:
Training: Participate in a comprehensive 4-week training program, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please note that attendance during training is crucial.
Shift: After training, you will work an 8-hour shift with a 1-hour lunch break. Availability is required between 5:00 AM and midnight, with a schedule that includes five days of work each week, which may involve weekends. There may also be opportunities for overtime and holiday shifts based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
An active Pharmacy Technician License in Florida.
A reliable high-speed internet connection at home.
Comfort working in a fast-paced call center environment with a focus on metrics.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Compensation:
The hourly pay for this position ranges from $18.95 to $20.70, commensurate with experience.
