Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-authorization for different areas 
• Verify eligibility for patient and insurance
• Acquire coding information from insurance websites to see if that code would require preauthorization
• Obtain required clinical information and follow up on the process to ensure it is approved or denied
• Communicate directly with insurance providers daily

Requirements:

• Background in medical coding/billing
• Prior authorization experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• High school diploma
