We are looking for an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient team in Glen Burnie, MD.
Job Description
Orthopedic Advanced Practice providers will:
* Daily rounding for primary orthopedic patients
* Emergency Department consultations: evaluate, order labs and other studies as needed, aspirate joints, fracture reductions and splinting/casting
* Osteoporosis liaison: identify patients with fragility fracture, initiate bone health evaluations and refer to osteoporosis clinic for follow up care.
* Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons.
* 8 hour shifts, one day per week
* No call coverage, weekend or after hours.

Qualifications
* Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.
* Board Certification Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
* Ideal candidate will have proven experience working with orthopedic patients as an NP.
* New Graduates are welcome to apply, must be able to commit to two full weeks of orientation and training.
* Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner required.
* Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
* Current NRP and PALS certifications
* DEA and CDS eligible.
