Job Description

Fan Marketing Manager

Remote (Preference for candidates in or near Boston, MA)

Mission

Our mission is to restore sports to their purest, most exciting, and competitive form: high stakes and open to all.

Core Values

Build a great product: Deliver exceptional experiences that fans love.
Have a desirable social purpose: Make a positive impact through our events.
Surround yourself with good people: Collaborate with passionate, driven, and supportive individuals.

About Us

Since 2014, we've been creating high-stakes, open-to-all sporting events that captivate audiences worldwide. Our flagship event, The Basketball Tournament (TBT), has awarded over $15 million in prizes, introduced innovations like the Elam Ending, and inspired features adopted by the NBA and NCAA. Building on this success, we launched The Soccer Tournament (TST) in 2023—a world-class, 7v7 soccer competition that attracts teams from leagues like the English Premier League and Bundesliga, offering $1 million prizes for both men and women.

Position Overview

We're looking for a creative and strategic Fan Marketing Manager to spearhead fan engagement and ticket sales for TBT and TST. This role combines creativity, project management, and data-driven strategies to grow our fanbase and maximize ticket sales. If you're a passionate marketer with a knack for building partnerships, crafting compelling campaigns, and leveraging CRM tools to deepen connections, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

Ticket Sales & Campaign Management

Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive ticket sales and fan engagement for TBT and TST.
Collaborate with the content team to create engaging, fan-centric materials that promote events and achieve ticketing goals.
Use data-driven insights to refine campaign messaging and optimize marketing channels for maximum reach and ROI.
Manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and strong returns.

Marketing Calendar & Toolkits

Create and maintain a comprehensive marketing calendar to align campaigns with key events and milestones.
Develop marketing toolkits for event hosts and team entrants, providing resources to amplify ticket sales efforts.

Fan Engagement & Growth

Explore and implement innovative ways to engage with fans, expand the audience, and enhance their event experience.
Partner with local soccer clubs, schools, influencers, and community organizations to increase visibility and fan engagement.

Email & CRM Management

Design and execute email campaigns to nurture fan relationships, promote ticket sales, and cross-sell/up-sell opportunities.
Leverage CRM data to analyze fan behavior, refine strategies, and boost retention.

Partnerships & External Relations

Build and maintain strategic partnerships to reach new audiences and enhance ticketing outcomes.
Serve as the primary contact for partners, ensuring alignment and shared success in marketing campaigns.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Sports Management, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in sports, entertainment, or event industries.
Proven expertise in event marketing, fan engagement, and ticket sales, including VIP and hospitality sales.
Experience managing marketing calendars, email campaigns, and CRM systems with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

Creative thinker with a proactive attitude and a track record of delivering innovative ideas.
Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Experience with grassroots marketing, influencer campaigns, and community partnerships.
Passion for sports and events, with a deep understanding of fan behavior and motivations.

Note: This is a fully remote role, but candidates near Boston, MA, are preferred to support local partnerships and team collaborations.
