Shattuck-St. Mary’s School “SSM”, a residential boarding school located in Faribault, Minnesota is seeking a Journeyworker Electrician to join our Facilities team. A Journeyworker electrician at SSM is responsible for the daily maintenance for the electrical aspects of Upper School, Middle School, Residential Halls, Faculty residences, Sport complex, and St. James campus electrical systems. These systems include lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, fire alarms, security, and communication systems. The Maintenance Electrician coordinates with the Master of Record (Cedar Lake Electric) to ensure that the electrical systems comply with relevant codes, and safety standards.  Starting pay is $30/hour.

Required Qualifications:

• MN DLI Journeyworker Electrician License
• Valid MN Driver’s License
• Technical college A.A.S. degree in electrical construction/maintenance preferred
• 4 or more years experience in electrical construction and maintenance
• Must perform duties with social sensitivity, courtesy, and tact
• This is a physical job requiring employee to regularly use hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, walk and lift
• Ability to problem solve and manage multiple projects
• Must be authorized to work the US and pass criminal background check
