Job Summary:

Global firm in Miami is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Billing/Accounting Specialist to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely billing and accounting processes within a legal environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal billing, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the preparation and submission of client invoices in compliance with client billing guidelines and firm policies.
• Review and verify the accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required.
• Maintain detailed records of billable and non-billable hours for legal professionals.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
• Prepare financial reports and summaries related to billing and accounting activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with established billing and accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide support for audits and other financial examinations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal billing or accounting.
• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with legal terminology and practices is a plus.
