We are looking for a Lab Assistant Adjunct Instructor to join our team and assist in delivering instruction for our Lab Assistant program at our Lafayette Campus. In this role, you'll work closely with the Program Director and contribute to shaping the next generation of lab professionals.
What You'll Do:
Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Ensure compliance with all company policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards to maintain the highest quality of education.
Curriculum Development: Collaborate in the creation and refinement of course materials, ensuring they align with industry standards and provide students with practical, relevant knowledge.
Faculty Support: Assist in recruiting, orienting, and training new faculty members, helping them integrate into the academic environment.
Leadership and Guidance: Provide input on faculty performance, including recommendations regarding hiring, promotion, and other personnel changes.
Organize and Participate in Events: Help plan and execute student orientations, graduation ceremonies, and Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings.
Student Monitoring and Support: Track student attendance, monitor progress, and implement strategies to reduce attrition. Ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.
Embrace Technological Advancements: Stay up-to-date with the latest technological innovations in laboratory sciences, integrating these changes into your teaching approach.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with the Campus Dean and other staff members to support the academic program's objectives and ensure positive student outcomes.
Teaching Responsibilities: Lead and teach courses as required, providing clear instruction and guidance.
Travel: Be willing to travel as necessary to meet the needs of the role.
Additional Responsibilities: Take on other duties or special projects as assigned, contributing to the success of the campus community.
Professionalism: Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, fostering effective working relationships with colleagues and creating an environment where students feel supported and motivated.
What You'll Bring:
A High School Diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of related practical work experience in clinical laboratory science.
A passion for teaching and sharing knowledge with students.
Experience or interest in teaching is a plus.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
