Information Security Analyst

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Information Security Analyst to join our growing team of IT professionals. This position will support our efforts in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating information security risks to keep our systems and data secure.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
• Analyze and assess vulnerabilities in the infrastructure (software, hardware, networks), investigate available tools and countermeasures to remedy the detected vulnerabilities, and recommend solutions and best practices.
• Monitor our networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
• Prepare reports that document security breaches and the extent of the damage caused by the breaches.
• Assist with the installation and use of firewalls, data encryption, and other security tools and software.
• Conduct security audits and make policy recommendations.
• Provide technical advice to colleagues and ensure that all employees are aware of security requirements and are equipped with the tools and know-how to protect their systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Related industry certifications like Security+, CySA+, OSCP are a big plus.
• Understanding of various information security concepts and technologies such as firewalls, VPN, data loss prevention, IDS/IPS, web-proxy, and security audits.
• Basic knowledge of security systems including anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, and content filtering.
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to work under pressure.
• Good understanding of the latest networking technologies and secure network architecture.
• Ability to communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner.
• Must be proactive, with a keen interest in learning new technologies.

SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $90,000 / annually

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
