What’s a typical day as an Industrial Painter? You’ll be:

• Planning paint activities before starting jobs, ensuring all required materials are available.

• Reviewing customer jobs for paint and print preparation needs.

• Reviewing customer paint specs and possible health hazards.

• Coordinating with shipping department and calculating start of painting.

• Performing pre-painting activities on parts in preparation for painting.

• Applying a variety of industrial coatings to fabricated metal products.

• Maintaining and improving paint room cleanliness.

• Inspecting units prior and after painting for visible defects.

• Reporting any malfunctioning/broken equipment to supervisor and maintenance.

• Recording daily usage of paint and maintaining required reports.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or GED.

• Have at least 3 years of practical experience with industrial coatings.

• Have Auto Body and/or Industrial Painting certification/experience.

• Possess thorough knowledge of surface preparation and paint equipment.

• Have good understanding of various types of metal abrasive treatments.

• Can use, mix, and spray Automotive/Industrial Urethane Coatings.

• Have strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Are proficient in basic computer programs.

• Can read and interpret documents for content and accuracy.
