Overview:
We're looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Development and Finance Manager to join our team! This role is key to advancing our mission by overseeing financial operations and leading development efforts. Key Responsibilities
Development:
- Craft and execute innovative fundraising strategies to secure support from individuals, foundations, and corporate sponsors.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, including managing solicitation and stewardship activities.
- Plan and coordinate engaging fundraising events and campaigns that align with our mission and goals.
- Write compelling grant proposals and oversee grant reporting requirements.
- Keep meticulous records of donations, pledges, and donor communications using our donor management system.
Finance:
- Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and banking activities.
- Assist with preparing the annual budget and track performance throughout the year.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and implement any necessary recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in nonprofit financial management and fundraising.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with financial management and donor management software.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Compensation:
- Full-Time (Boston, MA): $65,000 - $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
- Part-Time (Remote Eligible): $25 - $35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Work Culture:
- Part-Time Position: 20-25 hours per week with flexible hours within official working hours and potential for remote work.
- Full-Time: On-site in Boston with standard working hours. Some evening or weekend work may be required for fundraising events.
