Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our dermatology practice. As a Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology, you will work closely with our team of dermatologists to provide exceptional patient care and support.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct patient assessments, including medical history review and skin examinations.
2. Perform various dermatological procedures, such as biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy, under the supervision of dermatologists.
3. Diagnose and treat common dermatological conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancers.
4. Prescribe medications, topical treatments, and skincare regimens as appropriate.
5. Educate patients on skincare practices, disease prevention, and treatment options.
6. Assist dermatologists in surgical procedures and cosmetic dermatology treatments.
7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
9. Stay current with advances in dermatological treatments, procedures, and technologies through continuing education and professional development.
10. Uphold high standards of patient confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) from an accredited institution.
- Texas State licensured
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working in dermatology or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in performing dermatological procedures and treatments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
