Are you an experienced dental professional eager to shape the future of dental assisting? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Dental Assistant Instructor!
In this role, you'll guide and mentor students enrolled in our dental assistant program, helping them develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the dental field. You'll deliver engaging lectures, lead practical training sessions, and oversee clinical rotations, all while providing the support and encouragement students need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead engaging classroom lectures and presentations on essential dental assistant topics, including dental anatomy, radiology, infection control, chairside assisting, dental materials, and more.
Provide hands-on training in labs to help students build technical skills and confidence in performing dental procedures.
Supervise and support students during clinical rotations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and professional standards.
Assess student progress through exams, assignments, and practical evaluations, offering constructive feedback to foster growth and improvement.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the dental field, incorporating new insights into your teaching.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and collaboration.
Mentor and guide students throughout their educational journey, offering career advice, study tips, and emotional support.
Collaborate with colleagues and administration to continually enhance the curriculum and improve teaching methods.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must hold a current Instructor license.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting.
Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques and industry best practices.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex concepts in an engaging, understandable way for students of various learning styles.
Passion for education and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
Ability to provide constructive feedback to support student development.
Flexibility to adjust teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
Certification or licensure as a dental assistant preferred, but not required.
Teaching experience or previous instructional roles are a plus.
Basic computer skills required.
Work Schedule & Availability:
Day and evening positions available, including a partial remote schedule.
