Job Description

At Asheville Ford Lincoln we are seeking a reliable and responsible Dealer Trade Driver to transport vehicles between dealership locations, customers, and service centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving record, excellent time-management skills, and a commitment to customer service. This role involves driving vehicles over short and long distances, ensuring safe and timely deliveries, and maintaining the condition of the vehicles during transportation. Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Transportation: Drive vehicles to and from various locations, including other dealership branches, service centers, and customer addresses.
  • Vehicle Handling: Safely drive and handle a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs, ensuring their safe delivery without damage.
  • Route Planning: Plan and follow efficient routes to minimize travel time and ensure timely deliveries, while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Inspection and Documentation: Inspect vehicles before and after delivery for any damages, and document findings as needed. Complete all necessary paperwork, such as vehicle condition reports or proof of delivery.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service when delivering vehicles to customers, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Monitor the condition of the vehicle being driven and report any mechanical issues or concerns to the service department or manager.
  • Fueling and Maintenance: Ensure that vehicles are fueled and ready for delivery as required. Take vehicles to fueling stations when necessary.
  • Time Management: Manage time effectively to complete multiple deliveries and pick-ups within the designated time frame.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety and traffic regulations to ensure safe operation of vehicles. Adhere to company policies related to driving and transportation.
  • Vehicle Storage: Ensure vehicles are parked in designated areas at all times when not in use.
