Position: Data Warehouse Architect Client: State of Michigan
Location: Lansing, MI - Hybrid

Top Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience supporting at least one State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Data Warehouse or (at minimum) supporting another SOMI Agency Data Warehouse .
• 12+ years of Teradata experience.
• 10+ years of SQL experience.
• 10+ years of shell scripting experience.
• 5+ years of Linux experience.
• Proven ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

Interview Process:

• Virtual interviews are anticipated.
• A 2nd round interview may be onsite at the Lansing office.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid position Onsite 2 days per week REQUIRED .
• Candidates must be local to Mid-Michigan .
• No remote-only option and no relocation assistance available.

Duration:

• 1-year contract with possible extension.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage Linux security models on Data Warehouse ETL servers.
• Oversee Teradata security and access controls .
• Maintain and manage the Common Batch Framework and Common Scheduler to ensure data reliability for business processes.
• Oversee change management infrastructure for the Data Warehouse, handling all code promotions and build engineer tasks.
• Lead the migration of three MDHHS Data Warehouses to a Common Process framework.
• Ensure compliance with State of Michigan and MDHHS/DTMB policies and procedures .
• Conduct elevated access and user audits and address any audit findings.
• Support Data Warehouse Continuity Planning and Testing .
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting for Data Warehouse issues.

Required Experience:

• Supporting one or more State of Michigan MDHHS Data Warehouses .
• 12+ years of Teradata experience.
• 10+ years of SQL experience.
• 10+ years of shell scripting experience.
• 5+ years of Linux experience.
• Experience supporting data loading from multiple source systems .
• Ability to train and support development teams in troubleshooting and batch processing.
• Strong decision-making skills while ensuring compliance with State of Michigan policie
