Express Employment Professionals in Houston Bay Area is currently hiring for a Data Analytics Inter in Deer Park, TX.

Key responsibilities: · Data modeling and analysis: Develop and maintain data models, data flows, and data mappings to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions, being proactive and predicting maintenance of our machines.

· Software development: Develop and maintain software tools, scripts, and programs for data extraction, transformation, and loading. Implement automation processes to streamline data processing workflows and increase efficiency.

· Data visualization and reporting: Develop and deliver visualizations, dashboards, and reports that communicate data insights to stakeholders. Use data visualization tools such as Power BI to create interactive and user-friendly dashboards.

· Data security and governance: Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR. Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, availability, and accuracy.

· Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with District Managers, Customer Service Managers, Process Improvements Managers to understand data analytics needs and requirements. Translate business needs into technical requirements and deliver data-driven insights that drive business value.

Requirements: University degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or equivalent. Competency is more than ever a combination of knowledge, experience, and attitude. Key behaviors are:

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understands customers’ needs and offer data-driven solutions.
• Proficiency in data manipulation, cleaning, and preprocessing techniques (Azure, OneLake data environments preferred)
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Python, Java, SQL, and R, HTML, & Power BI (DAX & PowerQuery).
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts and their application in data analysis.
• Experience in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, etc
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Any experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, or advanced statistical analysis is a plus.

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8-5.

- Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Develop and maintain databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions
- Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as Visio and vaticinate
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
