In this position, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating public health services and initiatives, while also providing direct public health services and acting as a community liaison. You will analyze county-level assessments to identify public health needs, ensuring that DOH educational and clinical activities are based on accurate data. By coordinating meetings, teleconferences, and clinics, you will help build a sustainable public health infrastructure. You will design public health initiatives by leveraging community data, public health protocols, and DOH guidelines to address key health priorities, monitor programs, and track outcomes through disease surveillance systems. Additionally, you will provide clinical services for immunizations, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and sexually transmitted diseases to promote patient health and prevent disease transmission. You will also collaborate with community organizations and healthcare providers to control and prevent disease spread.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work infrequently requires statewide travel and irregular work hours including overnights, weekends, and holidays in accordance with policy.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
- This position is split between Wyoming County & Luzerne County State Health Centers. A headquartered location for Wyoming or Luzerne will be determined when the candidate is selected.

QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
- This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
