Job Description

We are partnered with a growing roofing contractor based in the Kansas City, MO area; they are looking for a Commercial Roof Estimator with slow slope roofing systems experience to join their growing team! This is a hybrid/remote position. 

The role of the commercial roof estimator involves sourcing, evaluating, analyzing, and estimating the costs and materials needed for commercial roofing endeavors. The contributions of this role significantly influence the outcome and productivity of construction ventures, alongside the financial well-being of the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Tasked with finding new project opportunities that align with the company's capabilities.
• Engages with general contractors and end users to establish the company as a preferred roofing contractor.
• Ensures precise assessment of commercial roofing project requirements for accurate cost estimation.
• Calculates materials, labor, and other expenses meticulously to aid budgeting and financial planning.
• Plays a key role in the bidding process by providing accurate estimates, enhancing competitiveness.
• Follows up with contractors and end users post-bid to understand project positioning.
• Uses assessments to plan project details and allocate resources effectively.
• Guides labor, material, and equipment allocation for efficient project management.
• Contributes to client satisfaction by delivering projects within budget.
• Enhances company reputation through successful project execution, fostering positive business relationships and potential for repeat business.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating commercial low-slope roofing projects (TPO, PVC, EPDM, Mod-Bit);
• Proficient in The Edge estimating software, with demonstrated experience using it in a commercial roofing estimating role
• Must have experience with GAF and Carlisle products; experience with Sika Sarnafil products a plus
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, and Google Suite
• Experience working with commercial insurance claims preferred
