Founded in 1853 and rooted in Catholic traditions of charity and justice, Catholic Charities CYO (CCCYO) supports families, aging and adults with disabilities, immigrants, and youth through social services and opportunities for healthy growth and development.
Catholic Charities CYO is known, respected, and valued as a leader in providing direct services, advocating for social justice, and collaborating to define and address the most pressing human services needs in the communities served. The organization’s core values stem from basic human principles - respect, compassion, and accountability. CCCYO remains determined to compassionately serve the most marginalized and vulnerable, regardless of circumstance or religious affiliation. CCCYO’s clients represent all people: individuals, families, children, youth, adults, and seniors. The organization welcomes everyone with compassion, understanding, and respect; its results change lives.
Catholic Charities CYO is one of the largest, most-comprehensive human services agencies in Northern California, serving more than 70,000 people annually through more than 30 diverse programs in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin Counties. As an integral part of served communities, CCCYO plays a pivotal role in keeping community neighborhoods diverse, productive, safe, and healthy.
Catholic Charities CYO creates lasting, data-driven solutions to some of the most pressing human challenges in its communities: homelessness, aging in isolation, generational poverty, HIV/AIDS, inequality, and immigration, to name a few. The compelling stories that result from CCCYO’s programmatic work inspire and drive all those associated with its efforts. The organization thrives on making positive changes for individuals and families. Success is measured in the number of people served and helped with the quality of care and programs CCCYO provides. These programs are fueled by diverse and dedicated staff, caring volunteers, and generous donors.
This iconic organization, although vibrant and more relevant than ever, is prepared to redouble its efforts to further strengthen and provide visibility to its position as the leading human services agency in the Bay Area. To that end, an immediate critical area of focus for CCCYO is the organization’s fundraising operation; a robust, growth-driven, integrated fundraising program that values both relationships with a variety of communities and data as essential for CCCYO to meet its ambitious goals and objectives.
