Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join their growing team. The BCBA will be responsible for assessments, program development/ implementation, supervision of the Registered Behavioral Technicians and parent training. This is a full-time position where you will serve as an integral member of the therapy team working directly to contribute to client and family success. This is a full-time clinic position with additional opportunities to work in-home, residential, school or community cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop behavior intervention plans that will implemented by RBTs in clients’ homes, schools, and/or clinic.
  • Provide one on one in-home/center/community-based Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy.
  • Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan and report progress.
  • Assist with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors.
  • Maintain clear lines of communication with families, supervisors, and other applicable parties.
  • Attend staff and agency meetings.
  • Any other tasks outlined by the clinical director.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a minimum of a Masters degree or national equivalent with a major in psychology, special education, or related field of study is preferred.
  • Have obtained certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) as verified through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • A minimum of one (1) years experience in working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with various special needs.

Knowledge of:

  • Appropriate behavioral intervention strategies
  • Learning theories and instructional methods
  • Ethics, laws, and regulations of acceptable behavior interventions
  • Developmental processes of children, adolescents, and adults

Skills and Abilities to:

  • Understand behavioral situations and react accordingly in an ethical manner.
  • Objectively analyze crisis situations.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations.
  • Handle aggressive and self-injurious behaviors of clients.
  • Communicate effectively and make recommendations to various agency staff and outside professionals, groups, or individuals.
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written form with a diverse group of clients, parents/caregivers, and other agency staff.
  • Use a computer and behavioral software to prepare documents and maintain client records.
  • Work independently and make decisions within the framework of established guidelines.
  • Follow guidance from senior level staff to enhance own professional development.
  • Work with a diverse team of professionals in a respectful manner.
  • Supervise clients during treatment sessions.
