Summary: Supports Bridgewell's mission by providing behavior support services to the residential and/or day services programs. Works in coordination with the behavior analysts, supervisors, program directors and staff in the assessment, planning, implementation and monitoring of behavior supports and that meet regulatory requirements of DDS and Mass Health.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (40 hours)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the process of behavior assessment to contribute to the design of behavior support strategies.
  2. Work in conjunction with Behavior Analysts to develop and provide materials related to behavioral strategies to program staff.
  3. Participate directly in the development, training, monitoring, and documentation of behavioral supports focused on interactional guidelines and antecedent-based strategies.
  4. Provide directed behavior supports to individuals served as outlined in Behavior Support/Management Plans, antecedent management approaches, and other generalized support strategies.
  5. Assist with program documentation related to the occurrence of targeted aberrant and replacement behaviors, including data collection, incident/restraint reports, development of graphical displays and data summaries.
  6. Participate in the monitoring of treatment implementation and assessment of treatment integrity.
  7. Provide support to programs with corollary support plans such as the Medication Treatment Plans, Restriction Plans, and Supportive & Protective Device forms.
  8. Develop and provide trainings to program staff focused on behavioral principles, data/data collection processes, basic behavior change/skill building strategies and directed illness/disorder topics.
  9. Assist staff or others in locating and obtaining needed or related resources for individuals.
  10. Participate in relevant meetings with DDR and relevant supervisor groups within the agency as needed.
  11. Participate in the agency's referral/assessment processes.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:

  1. Masters degree psychology or related field.
  2. At least two years of relevant experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or as related to targeted position/programs (ID/DD, ASD, psychiatric disabilities).

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  1. Strong leadership and problem solving skills
  2. Strong clinical skills
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral concepts and techniques
  4. Demonstrated ability to develop and foster positive relationships with funding sources
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills

Physical Demands:

  1. While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to climb stairs.
  2. The employee must be able to drive a vehicle.
  3. Must have a normal range of eyesight with or without corrective lenses.
  4. Must have a normal range of hearing with or without corrective equipment.
