Primary Responsibilities:
+ Provide support and strategic counsel on a wide variety of matters including, regulatory compliance and oversight, contracts, STARs, the Inflation Reduction Act, and finance
+ Collaborate with colleagues across the legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs departments

Required Qualifications:
+ Juris Doctorate degree
+ Current, active licensure
+ 3+ years of experience as a licensed attorney
+ Demonstrated familiarity with the Medicare Program
+ Demonstrate familiarity with the Federal False Claims Act and Federal Anti-Kickback Statute
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of relevant legal experience in health care
+ Insurance, regulatory, or other healthcare experience
+ Experience providing strategic legal advice as an associate in a law firm setting or as in house counsel
+ Experience with regulatory agencies
+ Demonstrated understanding of business problems related to assigned legal projects and ability to evaluate and determine appropriate course of legal action
+ Proven success in collaborating across a matrixed legal department
+ Proven well-developed presentation skills
+ Proven ability to drive results
+ Proven ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environment
+ Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented workplace
+ Proven ability to prioritize and work effectively under time constraints
+ Proven ability to build and maintain rapport with superiors, peers, and subordinates
Required Competencies:
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Solid work ethic
+ Comfortable taking direction, and accountability for assigned legal projects

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
