Keystone Quality Transport is currently looking to grow our Vehicle Maintenance team and has current openings for Vehicle Maintenance Technicians. The Vehicle Maintenance technicians will work on all company equipment including Paratransit Vans, Busses, and our Fleet of Ambulances.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience as a commercial vehicle mechanic (diesel experience a plus!), Preferred trade school certification, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma.

Position specifications:

• Preventative maintenance on all Fleet Vehicles
• Check all fluid levels, hoses, belts, brakes and tires
• Performs all scheduled maintenance requirements
• Oil and filter changes, brake and tire replacement, minor and in-depth mechanical repairs/replacements
• Scheduled and Emergency repairs as needed, including:
• Mechanical
• Computer
• Electrical tracing/repairs
• Transmissions
• Engines
• Alternators
• Fuel injectors
• A/C repairs / replacement of components and recharge of systems
• Suspension
• Diagnoses problems, disassembles units, repairs or replaces parts, and reassembles units in the following systems:
• Brakes: Repairs or replaces shoes, pads, drums, hoses, calipers, cylinders and any heavy-duty air brakes.
• Cooling: Flushes radiator, replaces hoses and thermostat, repairs or replaces radiator and water pump, fan drives, DCA treatment filters, air intercoolers and oil coolers.
• Drive: repairs and replaces drive shaft, differential, axle, manual, automatic and sophisticated computer- controlled transmission, clutches, transfer cases, power take-off systems, transmission reversers, all wheel driving steering axles and final drives.
• Electrical: Repairs or replaces fuses, batteries, lights, instruments, warning devices, controls and switches, computer controls, modules, alternators, starters, and defective cables and wiring.
• Exhaust and Emissions Control: Replaces mufflers, manifolds, catalytic converters, turbochargers, blowers, and pipes.
• ·Hydraulic: Repairs and replaces pumps, hoses, valves, winches and cylinders.
• ·Air: Repairs or replaces compressors, air dryers, brake valves, air tanks and hoses.
• Steering and suspension system: Aligns and balances wheels, repairs or replaces tie rods, ball joints, gear boxes, shock absorbers, springs, steering linkage, kingpins, power steering, hoses, pumps, walking beam suspensions and air suspensions.
• ·All employees are expected to keep appropriate documentation, logs and records. In addition, the work area needs to be kept in a neat and organized manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay : $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
